Hines Electrical approached us about developing an enterprise solution to replace their time tracking, job dispatch and job management paper trail. We also had to integrate the solution into their backend accounting system (Infusion).
We designed and built a server system that can query the jobs setup in Infusion, and dispatch them to the appropriate electrician/technician. We also designed and built the iPad application that takes in the job, it shows the Technician where the job is located and allows them to add stock items and notes.
The stock codes are stored locally on the device. We have a system that allows the server to check for modified code in Infusion and update the technicians iPad automatically.
The system has a number of reports it can generate as well.
- Accurate timesheets are generated each week, saving both the Technicians and the Office hours of work.
- Stock usage reports allow them to know how much stock they need to get in to restock the vans.
- Job audit report allows the office to query a job number and have shown on a map where and when the technician were in relation to the customer when the selected each different states of the job (Started, On Site, Completed).
